Each one will get three songs tonight - their own favorite performance from the season, one chosen by the show's creator, Simon Fuller, and the winner's song written by Kara.
Adam is starting the night off with "Mad World" from the Year of Birth week.
Nice to see/hear Adam slow it down a little. I did like it! Judges did too. Very dramatic, in his usual style!
Adam is odd numbers tonight - 5701 for texting!
Kris will be singing/playing, "Ain't No Sunshine" for his personal pick. Goosebumps. I think what I like about Kris is that we know who he is, it's NOT all theatrics.
Wow - Randy copied me! Kara's finger-pointing scares me. And Simon has FINALLY gotten some sense in his head! Go Kris!!!

"Change is Gonna Come" for Adam. As Barney Stinson would say.... "Suit up!"
Well, I was wondering if he was going to get his screechiness in when this song started as it seemed too "sedate", but he did get it in the second half of the song. By far, not my favorite performance from him.
The judges and I don't seem to agree. I just don't get it! I agree it was good, but I wouldn't say it was his best. *shrug*
Kris - loving him as always. He's singing "What's Going On?" Judges were a bit mixed. Looks like Round 2 went to Adam. I wonder what Kara's written for them?

Okay, I really hope Kris does a better job of it, because I really didn't like that at all. I really think it may be the song though. Oh, Randy's calling it pitchy. Good for Randy! He didn't scream though! That's a bonus!
Kris finishes off the night - I definitely think that Kris' voice better suited for this type of song. I see Kris doing more inspirational songs than Adam. I agree with the judges that the song was too high for Kris' voice.
So techinically, Round 3 probably goes to Adam, but again, I think it's the song more than the performers. I don't agree with the judges at all on this one.
Good perforances by both tonight - now it's time for the voting! I hope my phone battery holds up! And my fingers!

We're here! Adam's first performance was good--I'm glad he picked one where he wasn't screaming/screeching!
Oh, you know I love it when they play piano! They make it look so effortless!
I liked Kris' song better than Adam's so far.
I'm not really enjoying Adam's second song so much. I'm not denying he can sing; I just didn't like that song.
Unfortunately, I don't like Kris' song. I think the judges may award Round 2 to Adam now.

I'm here! Chris came home, so I was trying to recap for him!
Adam's third song - I like it so far! There may have been some notes pitch problems, but I'm no expert. I think they always write such cheesy songs for the "Idol" song.
He hasn't screamed so far, which is a plus. Not bad. I'm still hoping Kris kicks ass on this next song.
We like both Kris and Adam, but we're just bigger fans of Kris' singing style and voice.
I definitely think Kris can do more with the cheesiness of an Idol song than rocker Adam!
Kris' version feels a little more contemporary to me than Adam's. I'm not getting as much of the cheesiness when Kris sings it. Still don't like the actual song, but in our opinion, Kris wins this round.
Judges did not like Kris on that one. They're just placating him now.
Hopefully Anne can join us for the results show tomorrow. I guess she had to take her daughter to the ER tonight. She's had the flu for the past few days...poor thing!
